A refuge, raised
A place where rest and wellbeing become part of the stay. Every apartment is arranged for calm, privacy and balance in the middle of the city.
Furnished apartments in El Poblado, Medellín
Seven apartments raised above Castropol, in three formats. Full kitchen, private terrace and the whole Aburrá valley for a window.
Manifesto
We believe travelling is not only about changing places, but about changing the way you inhabit them.
Altitud was made for people who value design, quiet and the kind of stay that stays with you. It is an urban refuge where architecture speaks with nature, comfort meets what is genuine, and every detail connects the guest to the essence of Colombia.
We are not after display. We believe in an unforced kind of refinement, in rooms that invite you to breathe, and in the stories that make a stay worth remembering. Because the best way to know a place is to live it from another perspective.

Four principles
A place where rest and wellbeing become part of the stay. Every apartment is arranged for calm, privacy and balance in the middle of the city.
The architecture, the materials and every detail answer to one intention: contemporary spaces that are comfortable, practical and good to look at.
More than hosting visitors, we bring our guests closer to the country through its coffee, its biodiversity, its art, its culture and its local design.
An invitation to discover Medellín from a quieter place, favouring genuine, considered experiences away from the tourist clichés.
Seven apartments in three formats
Seven apartments in three formats, with one idea behind them: square metres enough to live in, not only to sleep in. Full kitchen, in-unit laundry, and a terrace or balcony in each. For larger groups, several can be booked together.
Booking direct
Booking on this site means booking with us, with nobody in between. We give that difference back to you: in the rate, in the details and in the attention.
The direct price is always the lowest available. If you find a lower rate on another channel for the same dates, we will match it.
Single-origin coffee from Antioquia on arrival, a welcome gift, and experiences that appear on no platform.
A direct line on WhatsApp for the whole stay: restaurant tables, transport, groceries, recommendations and whatever else you need.
Availability
Pick an apartment and go straight to live availability. If you already set your dates above, we carry them over.
Direct rate · always below the platforms · no booking fees
Rates and availability live in our booking engine, not on this page, so what you see is always current. Staying longer than a week? Message us on WhatsApp and we'll send you the monthly rate.
The building
Castropol · El Poblado · Medellín
Castropol is the part of El Poblado that stayed quiet. Streets with old trees, brick buildings, bakeries that have always been there, and the Modern Art Museum twelve minutes away on foot.
It is close enough to Avenida El Poblado to move quickly around the city, and far enough from Parque Lleras to sleep well. It sits midway between downtown, Laureles and the hillside.

A connection to Colombia

We welcome you with coffee from Antioquian farms, and arrange tastings and visits to roasters in the Aburrá valley for anyone who wants to understand what they are drinking.

Every apartment seats six. We put you in touch with neighbourhood cooks and markets to put dinner on that table without leaving the apartment.

Walking routes through Castropol and the Modern Art Museum, the Sunday ciclovía and lookouts over the valley. Recommendations from people who live here, not lists off the internet.
Tours and experiences
We work with operators we know and have tried ourselves. We handle the day, the time and the pick-up at the building, and keep it all on one account with us. All you do is come down at the agreed hour.

Graffiti and the outdoor escalators, with guides who grew up there and tell you what happened.

The Plaza Minorista with someone who knows what to ask, and the option to cook what you bought.

You ride up by cable car over the forest. It sits at 2,340–2,680 m, where it stays between 12 and 18 °C.

A tandem flight from San Félix, at 2,450 m. No experience needed, and with a certified instructor.

Two hours on the road, 742 steps to the top and the painted town below, with a boat ride.

From plant to cup on farms in Antioquia: picking, hulling, roasting and cupping.
Looking for something that isn't on the list — a private dinner, a transfer, tickets to a match, something to do with children? Message us and we'll put it together.

All three formats take up to six people, so the difference is space and what's outside. The 138 m² and the 150 m² share a layout — two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a balcony — and differ in how wide the living room is. The 280 m² penthouse runs over two levels and adds three bedrooms, five bathrooms, two living rooms, a private hot tub and a terrace with a grill.
Near, but not in it: Parque Lleras is 1.9 km away. Castropol is a residential part of El Poblado, with the noise of the Zona Rosa at a distance you can walk when you want it and cannot hear when you don't.
Yes. We arrange Comuna 13, Guatapé and the Peñol Rock, coffee farms, Parque Arví by cable car, paragliding and market walks, with operators we know and have tried ourselves. We set the day, the time and the pick-up at the building, and the booking and payment are handled with us, on a single account. Guatapé can also become an overnight: the group that runs Altitud has five places to stay there. If you want something that isn't on the list, ask on WhatsApp and we'll put it together.
Yes, pets are welcome. Let us know when you book so we can have the apartment ready. What isn't allowed are parties, events and stag or hen celebrations.
